What to do if you are injured on the job
DO NOT
- Give a statement to the railroad before seeking legal advice.
- Sign medical authorizations, releases or other papers without legal advice.
- Write about your injury or post related pictures to any social media site.
- Discuss your injury or treatment with railroad claims, nurses or managers without first seeking legal advice.
DO
- Contact Rossi Vucinovich or designated legal counsel, as soon as possible following an injury.
- Fill out the injury report nothing all unsafe conditions contribution to the injury.
- tell fellow workers what happened and take photos of the scene, if possible.
- See your own doctor for treatment.
- Report the injury to your union.
- Keep records of important information.
